a summertime berry smoothie

Smoothies are perfect for breakfast or as a 'snack' during the day. There's virtually no other way to cram as much nutrients into one meal as you can with a good smoothie. And for some people who find it difficult to eat breakfast in the morning a smoothie is such an easy way to make sure you're still getting what you need to set you up for the day. If you want your smoothie for breakfast make it the night before and leave it in the fridge overnight ready for when you need it in the morning.

Serves 1-2

Ingredients

  • Banana - 1
  • Strawberries - handful
  • Raspberries - handful
  • Natural yoghurt - 2 tbsp
  • Coconut water - 150ml
  • Ice cubes - 2/3

Method

  • Chop banana roughly into 4
  • Add all ingredients to blender/smoothie machine
  • Blend until smooth - its as easy as that!
